From Ros -"Um. What kind of music from the 40s? ;-)"

What kind you want? Give me a list.

Oh wow... Swing. Big Band. Satchmo. Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman. Dixieland... Uh... "Itty biddy fiddy in de g'ate big poo' " (anyone else that knows what the heck that last one is, gets braggin' rights, at least) Oh! Do you remember Mairzy Doats (& Dozey Doats... and little lambs eat Ivy...) - ?

I grew up with that stuff - that and Beethoven, Chopin etc. Both my parents were musicians, and I couldn't avoid gettin' "infected" lol

Oh well, I sure got a trip down memory lane with that list.

see you SOON!

WSD the place we are staying at furnishes breakfast and the wife said she isn't getting out of bed until 8 AM. So that doesn't seem to jive with your plans. If we wake the little guy up before 8 AM he will be hell by 3:30 or 4 PM and will not be his charming little self!

So I am saying I don't think the Cracker Barrel Thing is going to work out for me this trip. :-\ :(

But Hey I'll buy you Breakfast in Ark City! (oh wait it's included with the hotel too isn't it? ::) ;D)

8 o'clock! :o People sleep that late?? Oh my....guess I been getting up WAY too early! lol Perhaps that is why I treasure naps so much! lol I sure hope they don't miss anything they wanna see!

Re: "CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2

If I had my way I would be up and out of the Hotel by 6:30 - 7 AM tops, but when traveling with the wife and a 3 y/o letting them sleep is the ONLY way to have a good trip. :-\ Heck if it was up to me I would drive straight through to Ark City Thursday night Friday morning.

If your 3 yo is anything like my daughter was and still is about being woken up before she is ready....LET THEM SLEEP! lol

Leaving Springfield, LA at daybreak Thurs morn, will be some interstate riding, short cuts (55mph), country roads and once out of Little Rock, we plan on Hwy 7 scenic route through the mountains...looking at 10+ hrs per google maps. So, when we're tired we stop for the night. Springfield, MO will be out of the way for us, heading Joplin way (will play this one by ear)...just be on the lookout for us on I-44 (old 66) and US166 on Friday. Will be checking into BW and relax a few. Call us @ 985-351-2884, if Alden does not answer it will be because he's driving, we'll call you back once we stop.

While it's on my mind, I will be needing to use someone's extra MD, I know I have room for my gloves and 2 digging tools, & pin pointer not sure if the headphones will fit.

2 extra campchairs in the field will be needed... Burdie, you got that covered for us?

 RR

I am bringing my Deleon as a back up machine. I told someone they could use it but they brushed me off both times I offered. ::) Anyway I will have an extra machine with me, Could even bring the BH 1100 I guess. If we get too short I think Burdie has three as prizes. ::) ::) ::)

Re: "CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2

Oh, I will have plenty of MDs choose from. Thanks!

I'm comparing maps....I just noticed there's a Lamberts in Ozark, MO!!! That's where they throw the rolls. It's hard to tell what to do, we have to play it by ear, we both not up to more than 9-10 hrs on a motorcycle and that's pushing it.

 RR
