I got my detectors all cleaned up and then I took a close look at the car.
OMG, a summer's worth of detecting and driving these gravel roads has
left a mess. I spent the afternoon cleaning the possum van and I'm not done yet.

We had a nice slow rain today, about 1/2 inch. I'm about 2.5 hrs north of the hunt site.
A little rain at the hunt site might be a good thing, maybe soften up the ground a little.

The gound should be since its suposed to rain for 2 days then be dry so it should be fine! yeaaaaaaa!

LOL the only thing I have packed so far is one of my bibles!! The rest of my suitcase is empty!! I intend to remedy that tomorrow....of course I intended to remedy it tonight and did not get home til late too! lol I will DEFINITELY have it packed in time to go though! well folks.an unfortunate event has occurred.it looks like i will have to bow out at the last minute.one of the 2 brake lines on my car chose tonite to let go.i will see what can be done to fix it tomorrow.but usually this takes more than one day.getting a mechanic in one day usually not happening.i may have a go myself,but experiance is that even if i can repair the line, usually the bleeder screws break off as they are meant to becuz made of pot metal instead of brass.this is the double edged sword of driving an old car.and i dont mind. im just glad it happened here instead of on the road. much rather be inconveinienced occasionally than pay what a newer model would cost. dont count me out just yet.i will post tomorrow on the final outcome.

Good to hear you are still walking upright Ridge. Was hoping you'd show up. Won't be able to chauffer you this year, Jr is coming along and he's not old enough to be at the places we were

scrounger, usually an easy fix but hope you can get 'er done. Throw in an extra pair of brake shoes (either Nike or Adidas to be safe-lol)

Junior can drive the call while we initiate the new memeber of the Rowdy Bunch... Heck, I was driving at 8! Well, tractors but it was driving! I guess I'm gonna have to be on my P's and Q's this hunt as everyone is bringing their family. But then agian I thought I was pretty tame the last hunt there in Caldwell... I'd bet a wage that Freddy Fender and Roid Boy would beg to differ.

You are not allowed to use the rest room in any establishment we enter in Caldwell. That seems to be what starts all of our problems!!!!!

And folks, I found Schlooppy!!!!!!! He'll be traveling to Caldwell with me. He might be a little black and blue from the abuse I give him for being MIA since June but I promise I'll leave his face alone!!! Ha, ha!!!!

Hey, I've got a request...... After wiping the cobwebs off of my machine and cleaning the battery box of corrosion I've found that only one side of my headphones work... Any one of you Rowdy Bunch members got an extra set of good headphones for sell then bring them with you.... I'm ready to purchase. I'd order me a set but I don't think they'll be here before we're off to KS.... If I can't find some then you'll all just have to hear me digging all the good stuff!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

I sent Freddie and Roid man a SPECIAL invite to join the ROWDY BUNCH as honorary members. Haven't heard back yet though.

I don't think they're cool enough to hang with us. They wouldn't know which end of a detector is which, since they seemed to have trouble locating the serving area of a certain establishment and being uncertain how to get drink receptacles filled up.....

I wish I could help you out with the headphones but when I went to clean all my stuff this weekend I found my Sunray Gold Headphones have been broken. Both sides still work but only one side is attached to the adjustable band.

I really like those phones. Oh well. The prize packages from Whites had 4 pairs of headphones. Two basic and two KOSS sets made for Whites. The Koss phones look like the ones that Minelab sells with their machines, they just have a Whites logo on them.

Scrounger just cut a small hole in the floor board and do a Fred Flinstone immitation. I'll bet you could find a mechanic that would trade you the E-Trac for the repairs.

Noodle I am VERY sad that you are not coming to the hunt. I will miss you and George, er I mean Dan, yeah that's it Dan.....
