Chomping at the bit

I am so ready to get this metal detecting "season" underway. The farmers will be harvesting soon and I am more than ready. I would like to have some cooler weather (high temp in the 50's is perfect IMO - don't like sweating like a prostitute in church) and even a "killing" frost to get rid of the chicks and tiggers. Also need a lot of rain - would need a jackhammer to dig right now.

Anyone getting out yet?

I haven't swung the ol' DFX in a few months now. Too hot and WAY too dry. Couldn't get my lesche more than 1/4" into the ground in my own yard when I tried last week, and it sure hasn't rained since then.

How did you do?
