Got to hunt for an hour or so this afternoon. The creek finally receded from last weeks storms (tornadoes for you Painter??). Wish we could have stayed longer, but the sun was glaring on the rocks making it difficult to tell anything apart. If you know what something is, please let me know!!

A knife? Don't know if you can tell in the pic, but the bevel seems to be ground. One of my favorite tools I've found so far.

Small chopper or knife?

Don't know if this originally had another wing and it was reworked. If so, the blade angle seems odd.

Super cool little tool! Worked all the way around. One end is blunt, the other more of a point.

These items are from a few days ago, the day after we had severe storms. Couldn't hunt the creek, so these are from the corn field above it (third flood terrace). Once again, tools of some sort, a hammerstone, cool material, and a broken blade.

This is the piece from the lower left. I don't think this is natural, scalloped all the way around. It's not chert, seems softer and has a "chalky" feel.

Preform? Pretty color, white with a lavender hue. one side is not worked, the other is only worked from the ridge down.

Broken blade

Repurposed broken point. Love finding these! Base is gone.

Another preform? Seems to be worked around the edges, flat on back.

Some really nice colors in your finds. I will tell you some of them as to what they are called here.
1st looks to be a chopper
2nd very nice backed knife
3rd a nice heart breaker or sad
4th backed knife
5th the pinkish one is a type of slate. I find it here also.
6th humpback or turtle scraper
7th looks to be a square knife
8th end scraper
9th flake tool
Very nice Im jealous, rock

I also wanted to add the backed knife has a unworked edge on it rite and that part would of been hafted on a handle with the sharp edge going out of the haft area to use. Kinda like on the side of the handle almost like a celt.

Nice assortment of artifacts! Thanks for the pics! And Happy Christmas.

The slate piece, I would check to see if there is any type of drill marks on it. It does look worked but maybe never finished. I havent found any of it that big mostly just pieces in the creek.

Wow you have some material that looks like mine. Lots of nice tools in there. Like that unified horse hoof scraper. You all found some great stuff….. Merry Christmas!

Yeah we had some real high winds no twisters a few roofs blown off ! Those are some really nice finds I'm glad you got to get out and get a few earned Christmas gifts haha . Our creeks are down as well I can't wait to go for a good walk !! Nice finds as always mrs brown and I did finally get some knee pads thanks for the idea hohoho ;)

Thanks! Yours isn't so bad either :) Can't wait for the weather to warm up and I can get the kayak out (mine is a sit on top and water gets in). I may have to invest in neoprene chest waders :) There's a spot I only got to search once, but I found some awesome heartbreakers there. I have a feeling something good is gonna turn up :)

Those are some nice finds. Get some chest waders and make you a bucket with a plexa glass bottom to it and you will have a blast.

I love mine!
Make sure to stand up straight periodically.. ha..sometimes I don't and it takes me a few minutes to do so. ;-)

Yeah back pain can definitely ruin a good hunt ... I cannot wait for some warm weather as well it's hard to bend over when you got so many layers on lol
