Hey folks,

My wife has an acquaintance that has a knack for finding unusual items.

This woman came across what looks like a really large, artillery shell with the markings 75 2 on the bottom. There were two smaller ones, the same size, but no markings. There's a small hole in the flat end of each piece. On the bottom of one of the smaller ones it seems like they might be chrome plated and the plating flaked away. She thinks the big one weighs about ten pounds.

They expected me to figure out what it is, but I've got a whole lot of nothing. Nothing at all, so I thought I'd come here and ask :D

Thanks for the save/help!

The larger one looks like a 75mm solid shot anti tank round, or possibly a "3 inch 50 cal" (76mm) naval round. The hole in the bottom would have had a tracer element in it, the smaller one looks to be a 37mm solid shot anti tank round, missing it's bronze driving band. I would put the larger one at WW2 to 1950's and the smaller at right around WW2. If you can measure the diameters that will tell us what they are
