Circulated Kennedy half dollar clad proofs, worth more than 50 cents?

Looked a bit through this section but did not find anything. Wondering of I should throw them back or keep them. Thanks!

If they are only slightly impaired, then you might get $.75 - $1.00, but it is a tough sell. There is more than an ample supply of proof sets on the secondary market that can be had for a slight premium over face. Kennedy collectors can cherrypick a proof set and sell the other denominations to offset their cost.
