Civil war belt buckle?

Can someone tell me if this is a civil war belt buckle? The clasp on the back looks different than other civil war belt buckles I've seen posted online.

I can testify from my own personal experience as a reenactor ever since the Civil War Centennial that your Oval US buckle is a 1960s/70s era reproduction. It was made for use by battle reenactors, but also sold by the hundreds at tourist-shops around the Gettysburg battlefield park, and other civil war parks.
