If the camps were close to home there would have been plenty of lady visitors, I'm sure. All the Mothers, sisters, girlfriends

I find one of those nearly every time I go out & in every field I go. Sometimes 2 or 3. No idea how they get there, as they are far away from house's, roads, footpaths etc.
