I have bought many Civil War knifes and forks, but I have never seen one with rivets like this. I was wondering anyone knew if this knife is from the Civil War era?

Don't know much about CW Knives (Pocket or Fixed) but what I do Know is they are a Pain 'for me' to put a Circa Date On.
A nice Piece you got there, I'd like to know info on it also.

yes rivets were used .... fighting knives (confederate) often had D guard types handles and were big bowie type knives made by local blacksmiths often and are highly desired..
