Civil War R.T Kelly "hats" token 1863, Draped bust Large cent, silver...

Hit a spot that has a building dating to 1784. The earliest I have found before this large cent was a Hibernia Copper from 1823. I wish I could get a date but all I can see is a 17. Also got a pretty cool civil war store token. I googled the details and its supposedly rare...dunno. Also a silver to round things out. What great token:occasion14: And a large cent with a merc makes it a great day:headbang:

Wow, I love that Civil War token. The Civil War is my main interest, far as metal detecting, and a token of any kind from the Civil War is on my wish list to find. Looks like a site worthy of more returns.:)

a real beauty man! Love those merchant and sutler tokens!

Thanks Dan, awesome hunt you had. That civil war merchant token is like the great great great grand step child of that awesome cob you found.lol

I LOVE the CW token! Fantastic job on cleaning that one. You were wise to clean it without water. Looks great.

Cheers,

Buck

Very nice Scraps. My only CW token is toasted and featured the common cannons and flags. Yours is great because of the rarity of the design.

Thx Buck, it's going to a local society to be appreciated by many. Great history!
