We spent a good portion of today out hunting the same spot the Pitdiggers foundallthe GREAT buttons last week.. the weather was great!! Grass nice and low and as all ways... a blast to get out and dig with the families!! Nothing like 4 or 5 kids out metal detecting!!;-)

My recoveries were a little sparse today but still a nice mix..

First up is a group shot of the "keepers" Including a "Fatty" 1861 or 1862 IH, an Enfield, a Merral and a single fired 3 ringer.. also a 1900 IH from another spot we stopped by on the way home...

A close up of the NY button, dome damage but still a good one!

This was my best find, a brass lid for a pipe.. it has been smashed but still a favorite thing to dig.. I have found a few over the years but it has been a long time.

Thanks for looking...

MonkeyBoy,

Out of all the bullets I have dug....I only have one Merril and one Enfield....so in my book I think you had an awesome day. My Merril is my favorite CW bullet by far!! Nice fattie and button!! Keep up the good digging!!
