Cleaned Uped Iron Find from Awhile Back

This one of other finds that we found with the copper point. It took a little time to clean it up. It's a French trade axe head, we found two of them, this one is mine.

Lucky dog.. I found one similar yours is in better condition.
Mine had such a huge cocoon of conglomerate around it it was hard to tell what it was at first.
Do you have a before photo?

Very nice trade axe.

Yours is more of a lighter duty type than the ones we find in the central Plains village sites.
