Cleaning of a rock

Found this rock. Wanted to know if using a soft tooth brush with water would be okay with cleaning the rock ? Was thinking of breaking it open as well. Seems to have a little bit of everything mixed up in it.

looks like you got fossils in there. toothbrush and water is ok. use some soap to.

Nice fossil conglomerate. EU is right~ bit of soap water and a brush are ok. If you can find some one to slab and polish parts from the back side of the stone, not the side with the shells *that could be professionally cleaned and carefully polished* I bet you could make a very nice display.
