Going through some of my junk and came across this patch. Any ideas?

I have searched and searched. Nothing figures - yet.

I am guessing it is a rank/rating badge/patch.
I note the blue over white over red horizontal stripes has this history
WorldMilitary - Forces Command Patch. Alpha Unit. US Army

Is it related?

Can you give us any clues? How did you come by it? Is it more likely to be Army or Marines or Airforce or Navy?

This was probably in a box of many small items I purchased somewhere at a garage or an estate sale.
All I can find out is that ASII translates to "Asia" in the Czech language, whether significant or not, I don't know. Red white and blue is the color of their flag too.

I think we are getting closer.
I believe it is the flag of Serbia Montenegro when it existed between 2003 and 2006, before they separated and became individual republics. BBC NEWS | Europe | Country profiles | Profile: Serbia and Montenegro

After further searching, I suspect ASII is the patch wearer's surname.
