Cob I found in New Bern, NC several years ago

I was told this may be a re-stamped Maravedi from the West Indes, perhaps the 15-1600's. It was found near the downtown area. Has anyone seen something similar? Thanks so much. It is a hair larger than a nickel and thick.

It reminds me of one of this coin that I found. But mine is, from what I was told, a Billon, 2 Gani from the India-Delhi Sultanate Empire circa 1296-1316. That cob just reminds me of it with the markings on it.
