coil khz question

Let's say a detector operates at 12 khz and the coil being used is rated at 6 khz or 18 khz,how does the coil work when the machine only operates at 12 khz....

There are some MDs that can change freq with the coil, I think X-Terra70 was one of them.

I don't think you can do it on another machine, that should be stated in the manual and/or ask your dealer if that is possible with your machine.

Though in the majority of machines that use i.e. 12Khz you'll need to use a 12Khz coil to not good for electronics if you do otherwise.
