I actually know what this is!! It's a coin from the game dread pirate, there's writing along the outside and it's cut in half, if you look at it closely it's dread pirate just sliced down the middle , I found one my first time out detecting and freaked out, but yeah I'm pretty sure that's what is. It's smaller than a quarter, if it were real it would be the size of a half dollar or bigger

But get it tested to see if it is gold I hope I'm wrong

what does the other side look like...this one is bigger than a quarter and it has a reddish tint to the gold color and where the knicks are it has a white residue....?

looks like souvenir coin they sell at gift shops if it has white inside
usually a white metal alloy or zinc mix

Fraid' so... doesn't look right. Unfortunately, there are self-centered clowns out there who think nothing of planting fakes and getting amused watching others dig it. These people usually can be filed under the category of TRASH. BTW... I almost headed there yesterday but did not feel the weather action sufficient to warrant a 135 mile drive. But for your sake, I hope you prove me wrong and it is the real deal.
