Ok. I know pictures are everything but my micro is for crap on my camera. You can't really see anything anyway.
I've found a copper coin. I've soaked it and gently scrubbed w/ toothbrush. Along the way I've "seen" many different things but it's all imagination. It's not quite slick but there are no raised points. I continue to soak.
My question is can a coin be I.D.'ed using size? This one is the size of a U.S. Quarter.
I'd take a guess of Chuckey Cheese or car wash token but I don't think they were copper. Any ideas? Thanks.

No, because there are about 200 nations on Earth that make coins, and many other historical nations. I don't really know why the macro is not working? I have a not so great Olympus cam, and the macro is really good.

Thanks for the reply Sag.98. I didnt say the macro didn't work, just that it is crap. Maybe because it's 4 yrs' old or was cheap to begain with. Here are the best my camera will do. As you can see you really cant see anything. Sorry for the shadows.

The coin almost looks like a corroded Washington quarter. I would suggest to use a scanner (if you have one) or try a pencil rubbing of the coin and say the detail.
