Just got bad news, the last bank I used to be able to buy coins off their coin machine has now said they are not allowed to sell any bags anymore.

I guess I will have to start buying boxes of dimes and quarters, the bags were always the best as you got the coins before the courier did. I will miss the half dollar bags

Unless they get a fee it is a loser for the bank. Sell you the bags only to have coins return to be sorted and counted again. Those machines are high maintenance as well.
I never dumps coins at the banks where I get them

Today I was dumping some halves at my newest dump bank and they told me their machine no longer takes halves they have to be rolled.

Before I left I asked them if they would sell bags off their machine, they said no one ever asked but yes they would except for pennies. I told them since they don't have halves I would take dimes and quarters. they took my name

this afternoon they called me and said they should have a dime bag tomorrow!

So one bank gone but another comes forward

It’s happened to me also, it’s usually a whiny hunter that returns and complains the bag was short. My agreement upon buying is always that I’ll take the bag and not return with any complaints. Btw, my half bags were always over count by $10-$30 of extra dimes, quarters etc.
