It's about the size of a silver dollar.registers as zinc,dated 1977.I didn't dig this but I did find it in a box of junk recently,while doing renovations to a house my partner owns.

That is a 1977 25 NEW PENCE from Great Britain. It is made of copper-nickel. It has a mintage of almost 37 million. In uncirculated condition, they retail at $1.25? ? HH

While the ID. of the coin is correct, The coin was also minted in Sterling Silver as well for the proof sets. I've got one of each.
