I don't care for the monotony of half dollar coin roll hunting. On a whim at a new bank I ordered two boxes. Ender, three in a roll, two in a roll, singles and a mint '87P whoo-hoo!

Ok it was fun!

Very Nice, congrats!
Even though it's clad, I've never found either '87. Someone would have needed to have liberated it from a mint set.

Any CRH'ers come across the matt finish 2005 to 2010 P/D from mint sets? Would you be able to tell them apart if they had circulated much?

Excellent. it gives me faith that there is still silver out there.

I had a teller once with a bunch of loose halves, and about half of them were proofs, the other half was all mint set coins. The matte finish ones were definitely different. Not too much, but noticeable.

Hey Fist, of course it was fun, it's always fun finding it, nice to see you and nice 2 boxes! HH Maverick.

Halfs us the way to go if they are available. No monotony.

Fist,
I never thought I'd see the day when you searched a box of halves 8-). Congrats on the finds.

I saw you post this on a different forum I frequent. It was a bummer to see I had already seen it. I always like seeing new AG :laughing7:
