Coincrawlin's Super Search **Updated 12/18 - The End**

Since I've got next week off from work I decided I would do a super half dollar search (for me anyway). My goal is to search at least 20 boxes. Picked up six boxes yesterday, got ten to pick up from a bank outside my normal area next Tuesday, and will order several more from my usual banks next week as well. I'll keep a running tab here as I go through them.

Did two boxes last night. The second box was probably my second best box to date just by quantity pulled.

My experience so far is that when the boxes are good they are really good, but when they are bad, really bad....feast or famine. Couple weeks ago a could have sworn the silver was dried up in my area, and then we get boxes like this so it's still out there. Ordered six more boxes from the same bank today, so we'll see what happens next week.

Picked up my ten boxes Tuesday and got through the first four last night. Pretty slim pickins so far:

Time to go make a big dump and see if other bank has my six boxes in.

Only managed to make one dump run before the weather forced me back home, so did two more boxes while watching the snow come down.

Made a big dump run today, picked up my 6 boxes I couldn't get to yesterday, then searched through 8 boxes today. Four were skunks, but managed a few more keepers from the other four:

(1) WL
(3) Bens
(1) '64
(11) 40%'s

Also found a 1982 Panama Balboa...first time getting one of those...although I believe they are clad.

2 more boxes to do tomorrow.

Just got done with the last 2 boxes. First was a skunk, but second produced pretty well.... (1) '41 WL, (3) '64's, (18) 40%'s, (13) NIFC.

By my count we did 22 boxes over the last week and a half. Overall the results were pretty good...some really decent boxes mixed in with several skunks, but that's to be expected I guess. Got two coins on my list that I would really like to find yet...a Barber and a Stone Mountain Commemorative...so looks like I'll have to keep searching.

Time to take a break for a few days...gonna take a mini vacation and try my luck at the casino!

Based on my count of your results, you averaged well over 5 keepers per box with many older 90%ers as well. You had a super haul!!! Congrats!!!

Great boxes.. you hardly got skunked which is awesome. My streak of skunks ended but seems like skunk boxes are still common out here.
