I actually have one identical to the Indian side but Im not old enough to collect from the 50s. I say 70s or 80s. I will try to search for a pic of mine
I found mine. Im sure mine is no older than the 70s, most likely 80s but could even possibly have been manufactured later I have a cool wooden nickle souvenir from a tourist attraction from the early 60s but it looks much different. Everything has value and I will sell but Im afraid its only worth what someone is willing to pay and thats not much im afraid..
As Nitric said, more like a coupon. I think mine was good for a free drink or something.
The one with the word "TUIT" on it, was given to procrastinators. The likes of which would always say "I'll fix it when I get a round to it" hence the "round wooden token with the word TUIT on it.......nge There be your round tuit!
We went fishing at the local beach pore yesterday and were given wooden nickels as advertisement and discount. I see them all the time for same at flea markets and antique shops. Don't see anybody buy them though
