I'm sure this has been asked before, But I was wondering if anyone could tell me how many silver coins it takes to make a OZ. dimes? quarters? halves? dollars? Thanks for any replies.....
If I'm not wrong, I think the mint had it worked out pretty well from the get-go, at least in the days of silver.

1 Dollar=1 oz.
2 Halves=1 oz.
4 Quarters=1 oz.
10 Dimes=1 oz.

This might help.

Keep in mind that 1 ounce = 28.34g & 1 gram = 0.0352 ounces.

I could not find anything that lists ounces, pounds, etc...All I could find is weights in the metric system..Hope it helps anyways.

Sorry, the above is for all the coins currently minted by the US Mint. I did not see the word silver in the original post.
