If you can discern where the coins are from ,U.S. U.K., other foreign - you can also do some basic online research . You will need to know the country of origin , denomination , date and mint mark for this to assist you .Good Luck !

Welcome to tnet. You should always fill in the blanks when you need info such as the who, what, where, when, why, & how. You gave us a vague statement and honestly my crystal ball has never worked right. Please post pictures so we can assist.

I noticed this was your very first post elliesue - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).
