Cold Ohio weather didn't stop me, Barber Dime, IH and Sleigh Bell !!!

Went hunting this afternoon after hauling firewood up to the house all morning.

Didn't go far, just one mile south of me at a friends place. He had an old farm house that
I have hunted before, so thought the deep freeze we have had this winter might have turned
some coins.

It did!! First coin I found was a 1920 Wheat penny, then dug a 1896 Indian Head penny,
went around a tree and got a sweet sound of 70 on my F-75 and sure enough it was a
1902 Barber Dime. Hunted awhile longer and found what I thought was a pull tab, but
turned out to be some sort of a lady. Not sure what it is, but kind of neat.

Pattern searched the front yard and came up with a real nice #4 Sleigh bell.

Really had a Great day, even though the temps were in the 30's and windy. Had my hood
up over my headset all day.

Hope you had a good day.

Nice digs Ringfingure

What was the temp when you where out.

Well it was supposed to have been in the 40's, but it didn't get over 35 and the wind chill must have been in the 20's. But heck no snow and I could dig, that's good enough for me. LOL

Beautiful patina on those pennies. I get excited whenever I see that green color in the hole, I know there is something old coming out. Thanks for posting

Thanks, I always like to see that also. It even got better when I heard the sweet sound of a 70 on my F-75 and sort of new it was a silver coin. Turned out to be a 1902 Barber dime. What a Sweet Sound!

Very nice, love the bell.

Thanks Old River, couldn't hunt today, we probably got 2 inches of snow on the ground and more to come. Can't wait for that.
