Coldwater silver

[CASPER-2]

drove to meet Whydah (well known TH'er on the water/beach forum)
for an afternoon lowtide at a different spot on 21st
was told a few guys had hit here recently - shallows were cleaned out
went deep again and got some older targets down deep - tough digging here
bottom was a clay like muck - got a large encrusted silver ring down really deep
got a few older brass items and a few cookie coins = 2 silver dimes & a silver quarter
got a silver encrusted religious medal too

[CASPER-2]

this is what was under the crust on the ring - any ideas?
is this religious ?

The ring looks like it might be from a College Fraternity I believe thats the Greek alphabet.IMO

Alpha Rho Omega fraternity.

Actually, it is a Sorority, here's their crest below. Interestingly, unlike many fraternities and sororities that have chapters all over, this one looks like it is exclusive to Lycoming College. Nice find Casper!

Alpha Rho Omega is also an international fraternity and sorority (they call themselves the Rhocans).
