Colonial Axe Head and a Ring

Found in North Charleston during Hurricane Florence. I'm not sure what the other items are...any idea on the red material?

This is a British axe, (with no poll).
A Very Early Design, dated about 1600's.....!

"a Museum of Early American Tools" by Eric Sloane

A couple of the triangular shapes a lead weights I think. You have some pottery from colonial. The top piece looks like maybe a shackle pin? BTW, the red is just rust
