After checking out the primary site that Rick and I had planned to hunt and found it hadn't been harvested yet we headed out to some colonial areas that we were sure would have produce some hot spots. On the third site, an orchard, we hit on a few random items but no evidance of any old home sites. My first find was a nice trigger guard, I'm not sure on the make of the musket or rifle it came from but it's 4 in. long and just under an inch wide. I can't see any numbers or markings on it. Any experts out there, help?
The rest of the day didn't produce much but in the middle of the orchard I did get a good tone and dig up a vintage BSA emblem. Why it would be in the middle of an old orchard who knows?
Anyway, happy hunting everyone and thanks for looking.
