I found this today metal detecting. Its copper, a little bigger than a quarter, it has a 1780's date, and it has the letters VERM.

It looks to me to be the 1787 Britannia se the bust is looking right and you can see the bow in the back of the hair.

So I was looking at the reverse and the square section Left bottom its a Immune columbia 1785

I'm very surprised it books that high.... and what that translates to is that most that exist are probably fairly ugly.

Heck of a find, and if only it would have been a net grade of fine. But heck, it was free. :headbang:
