I've been getting out for a few hunts in the last couple of days and finally set down
to make a post. The copper was found yesterday in a field that I recovered a 1797
cartwheel penny out of about 2 years ago. I don't know much about them and
did'nt take the time to look up what it really is, its in pretty rough shape and
I really can't make out the front but the reverse I can make out Britania on it.
any information about it would be appreaciated. The other finds came from a
a site that the old work farm was located on back in the mid 1800s. Finds include
3 keys,1865 2 center,1898 indianhead penny and an eagle cuff button,plus another
damaged eagle cuff button. Thanks for looking!
