We did it again folks. Zoyboy does the research, zeus secures permission and I would have to say we compliment each other nicely. What a team. The same site from last week revisited. We are itchy to hit about 10 new sites but this certain site we have been hitting about three or four times keeps producing so why not go back. I found a mercury dime at about 9 inches which impressed everybody. A half hour later i found a Nova Constellatio 1783 or 1785 post colonial made in England. It's in the Redbook. 20 minutes after that out pops a probable bust facing right post colonial Conn. copper. 15 minutes later a decent shape 1800 Draped bust large cent. I also found a corroded I.H. penny and three wheaties. For all you relic people i also found an old shoe buckle,50 cal. dropped musket ball. That makes 7 coppers in 4 trips.I hope everyone enjoys this post.......Chris

How exactly did you guys ask for permission? Is tehre "one" superintendent for all the parks, or do you have to seek one in specific for whatever park you want to TH in?

No parks.....So therefore no Superintendants. Parks for the most part don't provide us with old enough stuff. Plus most of them have been hunted thoroughly.....Chris

Pretty awesome finds! Good hunting.

Those are some nice finds. Hopefully I will dig a busted coin this year. I almost got one with the 1836 Large Cent I found this past week. Again, Congrats.

Must of been one heavy populated area during the colonial period to loose coins like that. Congratulations on the research and site. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely beautiful coins...DANG, I'm so jealous ;)

Another good day for uncle zeus! If Zoy didn't have a billion places in mind, we would be going back to this site. We should keep this site as a back-up for now. Hmmmm....I wonder if Zoy will take us to a Capped site or another Colonial? We will meet later this week, at an undisclosed location, and further map out our next action plan.

Three great coins for one great detectorist!

"Too bad they are pi$$ poor. Pi$$ poor with a double P." (stated just like Larry did towards my 1786 Conn. copper) :D

Wow, what a great spot.........I hope to find one of those draped bust large cents someday, what a beautiful coin they are. Congratulations.

Zeus, let's see who can find the first coin with a readable date of 1700...hehehehe ;) ;) ;)
