Coming to Connecticut!

I'm coming to Connecticut the week of the 4th of july. I'm from Arlington, Texas and to get to go to the upper states is a dream come true and a very very exciting opportunity. i have never found a large cent and colonial makes me drool.But I have no idea where to go to hunt and to make what little time there count. If you could give me some info on where to go or maybe make plans to meet and hunt it would mean more to me than words could say.
