Command tank T-26 since the end of Russian-Finnish War, was found at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland. Historical building located at a depth of 15 meters at a distance of over a kilometer from shore. At the bottom of the bay is a group of tanks - this modification, consisting of 5.6 units. As suggested, the tank with a crew consisting of 3 persons, sank in the Gulf of Finland in March 1940. In recent days, Russian-Finnish war.

That's what's called " Big Iron!" great photos.
Yes, not many remember or even know about this part of history- unless your of Finnish descent.

The crew was three people, all were in the tank. One shell was in the gun was his hardest to remove from-there.

can you give us some background of this find. How did they find the tanks. Can you tell us more of the structure that was found also. I'm a dive instructor and curious as to the method of location and background of the research that led to the find. Now these brave men can have a proper funeral

and a Russian-Finnish film "Kukushka" about the Continuation War

The tank was discovered by rescuers Vyborg accident when looking for a body recently drowned in these parts businessman and politician. Historical building located at a depth of 15 meters at a distance of over a kilometer from shore. According to the divers at the bottom of the bay is a group of tanks - this modification, consisting of 5.6 units. Presumably the tank with a crew consisting of 3 persons, sank in the Gulf of Finland in March 1940. In recent days, Russian-Finnish war.
