Hi, I need a little info on my old metal detector. I got this old compass in the early 90's. It was a top end metal detector back then. I'm wandering how it compares to the new ones. I read that compass has gone under and wander if it was due to low quality detectors. Here is a pic

Never mind that thing is shot. Battery corrosion got it.
