Thanks Gary

Heck of a day! And that's an interesting stamp.

LOL LOL LOL, Hey Slabman, were we hunting at the exact same time? What are the chances we both found this at the same time!

Amazing finds, that ring is something else, I have a feeling its very old.

Nice ring :icon_thumleft: that W just might be a M with Roman numerals just maybe a ring from the 1700,s ? just my guess and nice looking Colonial buckle  Dd60

My hunch is that the ring is much later--Victorian Era or so (judging from the Style of the letters).

A posy ring is Much older--1600s--and had a rhyming verse inscribed, not initials. So this is not a posy ring.

The complete buckle is a great find too.

That's what I think too. I have never seen an early ring that was large and looked like a current gold band, such as that one does. My 1802 one is very thin and light.

Nice ring and great buckle :icon_thumleft:.

What an absolutely positively gorgeous ring :o

Doing a bit of searching on "hallmarks" I came across this:

Not sure if it is of any help, just thought it was interesting
If you find out more info on your ring I hope you post about it for I would love to know more ;D

Congrats on the finds!
:D

I wish the plow didn't damage every shoe buckle we find. :dontknow: You found yourself a nice one. :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumright:

You got that right. I've lost track of how many old sites I have hunted, but can quite easily keep track of the gold rings... because there is only 2.
