[jtw1313]

Someone set this in order lol about 6 inches in length and about 4 inches wide

[Charlie P. (NY)]

Might have been cut for a lamp.

[jtw1313]

Just tried a flashlight held to it light doesn't go through it

[trdking]

Is it a hamster cage?

[jtw1313]

Lol funny. Why do I always find stuff that you can't figure out lol ahhhh

[jtw1313]

Maybe a case for the bottle lol u know like those foam chillers

[ARC]

Was eaten.
Large machete wacked off top of shell,,, animal retrieved ... cooked and then,,, well you know.

[jtw1313]

That was my first guess but it is just way to clean of a cut

[jtw1313]

And does it really have to fit the hand that well

.....

[jtw1313]

Closet thing I could get to what this could be

A right-turning, white conch is sacred to Buddhists as one of the eight auspicious symbols. It represents the sound of the Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha. My second guess would be something used in ritual to pour liquid through and one person on other side to drink it

[Back-of-the-boat]

Wild idea but maybe they used the shell as a funnel into the bottle I saw other post also( just a thought)

[DCMatt]

Only the one holding the conch may speak.

I'll shut up now.

[jtw1313]

Thanks dcmatt I knew you would find a pic or something. I have another shell I'm going to post I'm guess it's some sort of jewelry

Context is everything you'll have to give a little bit more information about the area it was found.
As far as it being a Native American artifact the piece as it sits would serve absolutely no purpose.
If found on a Native American site however it may be an artifact in that its scraps from a meal

[GatorBoy]

Here are a few conch shell artifacts mostly woodworking tools made from these shells
