Okay, a question for those of you experienced in detecting sidewalk or public parking lot tearouts: In my town, usually such tearouts have a yellow "Caution" tape around the perimeter. Is it okay to step inside and detect anyway? If not, is it okay to stay outside but stick the detector under the tape? (that second question is kind of a joke, lol.) I'd love to do the tearouts in my old town but the "Caution" tapes have discouraged me. btw, I'm an old lady who wears a pink sweatshirt with hearts on it when she detects, to discourage authorities from getting too zealous against my detecting forays! I never detect private property. Any info or experiences on "Caution" tapes that the rest of you have will help me. Andi

Around here they tear the sidewalks out and pour the concrete
about 10 mins later so we dont get the chance to detect ours.
