Cool iron in more ways than one.

It's from the Dover Manufacturing Company established by the Norwegians Charles T. Johnson-Vea and Ole Tverdahl in Stoughton, Wisconsin in 1893. The innovation for an asbestos layer and an air pocket to keep the handle cool came a few years later and was ultimately patented in 1900. This ad from 1906:
