super platter, ill look date mark up for you will give month day and year of manufacture
 
need picture of whole mark,very bottom cut off in pic
 
IV at the to means it item is considered clay ware
the U means it was made in 1848
the D means it was made in September
the 15 means the day of the month
it was made 15 September 1848
The number at the bottom indicates how many different pieces ( cups/plates/bowls/etc)were made in that pattern.
