This is a copper button I found buried in the woods at one of my favorite MD locations. No markings anywhere that I can see. I took diameter and weight measurements if that helps. If anyone has any thoughts (type, age, etc) please share (I have no idea).

Looks like a convex button 'due to its dome shape" probably 18th century.good find.

Thanks-- I'm trying to clean it a little to see if there are any markings on top, but I don't think there are any. (Someone else suggested early 19th century possibly).
