Copper spoon, ring, IBM token and clad

Another lunchbreak at the park. Dug my first ever copper spoon. I don't recall ever seeing a copper spoon(??)

$1.70 in clad, a couple grommets, the tip off a lazer pointer. The costume jewelry ring was a good rush but it's cheap silver plate (flaking all ready). On well. Another one for the booty chest.

The IBM parking token is kind of neat. I love finding tokens. IBM started about 20 miles away (the original Bundy Time Regulator site).

Weather report is calling for rain the next two days and then, drat, snow the following Mon - Wed. Grrrrrrrrr.

Cool finds, like the token. I've found spoons and forks that were copper with a little silver showing. I figure they silver plated them and the silver's gone.

Charlie, I found a copper spoon about a month ago. We put it in our "cool finds" bucket and I had forgot about it until this post. Glad you got that cool IBM token.

The park I hunt has a Fall Carnival and I went back over the spot and nearby area where the first ring was. There are "dead spots" where the carnies set up their booths and I figure that one must have had rings. Also shallow quarters.

I can point you to where the 55 gallon drum garbage cans were, too. Taln about trashy spots!

I'm finding deep and discolored nickels so I figure the other detectorists are skipping them. I'll dig nickels all day, thank you. Also a bunch of shallow zinc cents. I may be the only one not ignoring them.

The rings read in the "neither fish nor fowl" VDI of around 65. Pre-82 Memorials read 68 to 70 and zincs read 57 or 58 (dimes 71 or 72). I dug just to see what they might be. As they say: "Dig 'em all".
