Coppercrazy's Coin Roll Hunting Log

I have just gotten into the coin roll hunting hobby and thought it would be cool to post some goals of mine for the year 2012 and my finds. So far I have only been searching boxes of pennies and I have ordered a box a week but might bump it up to 2. I will start doing some customer rolls of dimes or nickels very soon.

Terrible start to the day: Bank 1 $400 cwr dimes: skunk and one roll was 6 short! Bank 2 $280 cwr dimes: 1964

Ouch, guess you know what it feels like now to be on the receiving end......

Roughly $2,000 in dimes searched with 8 total keepers. Most of them were customer wrapped. A little below average I think. I spent roughly 6 hours driving, searching and dumping. Average would have been around 12 or 13 maybe for $2,000.

One day over thanksgiving I am going to try and hit 30-40 banks in my city. Im going to get any halves and cwr dimes I can get. I hope I do a little better than you. Haha not to be mean....

Yeah, I did do pretty bad. If I had a large enough bankroll I would just go out, buy $5,000+ in dimes, bring them home and go through them instead of having to stay out all day and go bank to bank. I wish you luck!

Yeah Im not really looking forward to the searching in the car. I will just make sure I have the new Mumford and Sons album.

Went to my LCS and got a damaged 185? Flying Eagle for $1.25. I have been wanting one, regardless of condition. I also got 3 coin tubes, 1 dime, 2 half tubes for 40c each. $984.75 bag of quarters. I probably won't get anything, but you never know.
