Coppercrazy's Coin Roll Hunting Log

I have just gotten into the coin roll hunting hobby and thought it would be cool to post some goals of mine for the year 2012 and my finds. So far I have only been searching boxes of pennies and I have ordered a box a week but might bump it up to 2. I will start doing some customer rolls of dimes or nickels very soon.

Wow 2 errors! That's amazing I still haven't found my first :P congrats on the finds, HH

Since you get so many canadians, I assume you live nearby the border.

I live in Northeast Ohio. The difference between a variety and an error is a variety is a difference in the dies like Type 1 and Type 2. There are 2 general different die designs the Close AM and the Wide AM designs, so it is essentially predetermined. An error happens any time during the minting process, and is not cause from a difference in dies. People just generally call both of them an error, no big deal. That's the best I can explain it, sorry.

Thank you that make alot of sense, I guess I never really knew the difference.

I just thought I would share that it is coming more and more apparent that my 99 WAMs are going down in value and so I'm selling all three of them on eBay over the next few weeks in order to get a higher bankroll an get working on that dime goal. Just thought I would share

Hay Coppercrazy: How is it that you get so many Canadian cents? Do you live close to the Great Lakes (toledo) to get so many? Either way your getting a good mix every now & then. HH
