Couple more schoolyard finds

Something tells me the people who previously hunted this schoolyard did not like digging pull-tabs. Of the Indian Heads I have found, it seems like a disproportionate number have been fatties. Add one more to the collection.



Also curious about the number of Michigan Central Railroad lead seals that the schoolyard is coughing up. This is the third I have found. Yes the (former) Michigan Central Railroad runs nearby, but why so many lead seals in the schoolyard?!

possibly the school area was where whatever your local crops are were brought before taking to the train. The crops grown around my town have typically always been cotton, peanuts, or wheat. I found an old photo dating to around 1900 of the spot where our high school currently stands that showed the spot being used where everyone brought and baled their cotton harvest before sending it to be processed although the train tracks are almost 5 city blocks away.

Nice finds, there is a chance that there was a path or wagon trail that went thru the schoolyard before they built the school.
