I found this circular brass relic near a civil war encampment. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I thought maybe the lid off a jar? Just not sure what to make of it?

Anything on the back? If so could we see a pic of it?

Looks like a livery button to me. Based on size and construction I would guess pre-Civil War.

I am not familiar with livery buttons (new to the hobby) but I suppose that is a good possibility. Thanks for the suggestion.
