Hello everyone! I've been hunting coin rolls for sometime now, mostly nickels. For me the Brinks boxes produce fairly consistently with war nickels and the occasional buffalo. Rolls of halves are not very common at the banks, most of the time the tellers just give me the couple of unwrapped coins they have in their drawers. Anyone have any luck ordering boxes of halves from the bank?
Cheers!

Welcome, I search lots of nickels as well.
My favorite thing is to search halves, if I were you I'd just ask if you could order a box and maybe they will. I'd start small and make sure you don't take them back to the same bank.

Yeah, a little buttering up never hurts. I know donuts would win me over!
Hope you do well.

That is good to hear. I've ordered nickels in the past. Wasn't sure if they would order halves and if they did would it be likely to find any silver? Can't wait to see though! It's the thrill of the hunt that keeps me going!

I've not been to one bank or credit union that will not order halves, if they refuse to order halves, then there is something wrong with them. Ikes, now thats a different story. Its $500 for a box of halves, dont be discouraged if you dont find anything on your first box. Good luck.

Thanks for the info and encouragement. I'm going to cross my fingers and post the results. Merry Christmas to me! I hope!

Went to the bank and asked if they had any rolls of halves and she only had these in her drawer and also told me she had large dollar coins. Score!!!

Well, at least you go 2 coins worth more than face from teller trays! That is awesome! More often than not, you will just end up with a fist full of clad, but that's how the game works.
