Craigslist - Ikes

Just tried selling Ikes on craigslist [ never used before] . Got in way over my head. Ive been spammed with scams daily. Not sure what im doing wrong but will try the coin show next weekend.

Scams? I don't get it. I just sold 5 rolls of 40's, met the buyer at the bank (safe-deposit).
I used a cell # as a contact.

I sold 100 Ikes last week on Craig's List for $120. and had no problems. Met the buyer to exchange in the parking lot of a busy restaurant. Advertising on Craig's List may generate some "scam" replies but you can "weed" these out and not respond. Better luck in the future.

I've sold a few things of Craig's list. There are always spammers there for almost every attempted sale just be smart about it and careful. With coins extra caution is needed - I don't bother with small items but have never had a problem. Bought a few coin collections but the competition is steep now.

Yes you'll get those scams every time you post on C.L. Just be careful of the phishing ones. They are the most dangerous. You get an email from "Craig's List" saying your account was suspended, or something else is wrong, and you need to verify it and sign in. But it is afake link, to a site that is not C.L. but instead just someone trying to steal your password. So be careful of that, and remember that for ANY site, even your bank or one you work with, NEVER follow a link to that site to put your password in, but instead close the email, open your regular page for that site THEN put in your account and password. If there is a problem, you'll still see it by going in your normal way, instead of their link. LOTs and LOOOOTTTS of phoshing scammers out there.

Sold 200 Ikes the other day on Craigslist for $225. The guy said he saw clad Ikes at a coin auction going for $3 each and thought he could get the same if he sold them in small batches.
