Creek hunting, round 1

Well I found my first ever creek artifact this Saturday. A broke scraper and a broken tip off of what I assume is a Mississippian arrow point. I made a resolution that I'm going to get creek hunting figured out in 2011. There were a couple of sets of footprint in the creek already so I assume there is more to be found if I can get ahead of the pressure. I'm excited about the finds as I think the direction will yield could results in the years to come.

Also going to find my first Missouri point this year.

Creek hunting is the best...spoken from a creek hunter, lol. The plows don't eat most of the points that you find in creeks as they fall out of the banks vs being run down by tills. Get out before the competition and you will do very well, especially in the St. Louis area.
