Crest?

I really need some help on this sterling ring with marquasite on side. Not sure what the top is of thought a skull at 1st. But theres 5 stars on the wider part and also appears to be lettering on other parts. Possible military not really thinking a family crest. Hope someone can help. Ill also put it back togeather. The ring came off an ocean beach. Thanks all
